Utilities
- Always check folder for latest guidance
- Utilities include electric, gas, water, SSVEC Pre-paid electric, propane and phone.
- Utilities are generally paid from the Utilities Fund. Check latest guidelines.
- Utility funds cannot be used to help pay for rent, even if the rent includes utilities.

The Office Manager emails completed applications to Stewart Smith(520-245-8162): sjsmith@email.arizona.edu It takes a couple of days, after all information is received, to process a grant application.
To avoid disconnect actions, call SWG when possible and inform them SVdP is going to make a pledge on the
SWG Pledge Portal to the Friend's SWG account.

- SSVEC (520) 458-4691: Call SSVEC to confirm amount due to avoid disconnect action. If Pre-Paid account, disconnect notice is not required to make a payment.
Call SSVEC to give heads-up that SVdP will pay to establish electric service for a Prepaid Account. NOTE: Prepaid Accounts cannot be used to connect a new electrical service for
solar powered dwellings.
When SSVEC is closed, payments can be made by logging in to SmartHub with the Friend's credentials.
- Water Companies (PDS 520-458-3742, Liberty 1-844-367-2029/2030, Bella Vista 520-458-5470, Arizona Water Co 520-458-5660): Call the water company that issued the Disconnect Notice to verify amount due.
To avoid disconnect actions, follow instructions given by the water company during your phone call. Liberty no longer has an office in Sierra Vista to take payments.

- Propane: Call the propane company Barnett's (520) 458-4541 or GM Propane (520) 456-8813) for the cost of the propane. Fill out voucher, make copy for Blanca, and give to Friend to take to the propane company.
The company will send billing notice to SVdP Conference Office Manager for payment. Make sure to fill out the NTE (Not to Exceed) amount on the voucher.
- SVdP will not pay the almost $300 to establish standard SSVEC accounts. We will cover the cost (currently $85) to establish pre-paid accounts after the Friend has it established.
